Bart is the founder of the Dillashaw, LLC law firm, where he practices general corporate and securities law. Bart works with private companies on general corporate and transactional matters, and with venture capital and angel investors on investments in high growth companies. Bart is also actively engaged in the angel and venture capital community in Nebraska and is the President of the Nebraska Angels. In addition, Bart is a mentor for the Pipeline entrepreneurship program and the NMotion and Straight Shot accelerators, and he is also a member of the advisory board of the Entrepreneurship Clinic at the University of Nebraska College of Law. Bart was selected as one of the Midlands Business Journal’s 2014 class of “40 Under 40”, and he was a nominee for Service Provider of the Year at the 2012, 2013, and 2014 Silicon Prairie News Awards.
Teresa serves as the Managing Director of both the Greenpoint Global Mittelstand Fund and the Silicon Pastures Angel Investment Network. During her career as an angel investor and venture capitalist Ms. Esser has led investments in BioSystem Development, LLC (now part of Agilent); Genii, Inc. (where she serves on the Board of Directors); HarQen, Inc.; Intuitive BioSciences, Inc.; and Hardcore Computer (now LiquidCool Solutions, Inc.) During the past twelve years Ms. Esser has led or participated in sixteen other early-stage investments. Beginning in 1999, Esser researched and wrote a book about how MIT students commercialize their ideas, and how venture capitalists decide in whom to invest. The Venture Cafe: Secrets, Strategies, and Stories from America’s High-Tech Entrepreneurs was published by Warner Business Books in 2002. The ideas in The Venture Cafe, and the brand surrounding the book were turned into a real-world Venture Cafe in Boston’s Kendall Square. Thursday evening networking events include free beer and coffee and draw upwards of 200 entrepreneurs, corporate lawyers, VCs and angel investors.
